YOUTH Youth Symposium At Holocaust Center The Jewish Community Council, the Greater Detroit Interfaith Roundtable of the National Conference of Chris- tians and Jews, and the Holocaust Memorial Center will co-sponsor the Interfaith Youth Symposium on the Holocaust Nov. 1 at the HMC. The speaker will be Pro- fessor Kenneth Waltzer of Michigan State University. He will discuss the impor- tance of Holocaust education in light of reunification of Germany and the resurgence of hate groups as the skinheads. Two hundred high school students from public, private and parochial schools in the tri-county area will attend the symposium, which will include a tour of the Holocaust Memorial Center and meetings with Holocaust survivors. The closing ceremony will be conducted by students who recently returned from the "March of the Living," an emotionally- charged walking tour of Holocaust-related sites in Poland.
