the American Independence Park near Jerusalem.

Ruth Goodman, Israeli folk-
dance instructor and choreog-
rapher, will offer an Israeli
folkdance workshop 8 p.m.-11
p.m. Oct. 27 and Oct. 30 at the
Jimmy Prentis Morris Jewish
Community Center, and 2:30
p.m.-4:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at the
Maple-Drake Jewish Com-
munity Center.
Ms. Goodman succeeds Fred
Berk, "Father of Israeli
Folkdance in America" as
director of the New York
Israel Folkdance Festival, of
the Israeli Folkdance In-
stitute and editor of Hora
Magazine. She is founder and
director of the Parparim
Ensemble of Israeli dance and
song. She is on the faculty of
Machol HaShalom Israeli
Folkdance Camp and con-
ducts workshops throughout
the United States.
The workshop is being coor-
dinated by the Hora Aviv
Israeli Folkdance Troupe.

Jewish and Christian
Studies. The program is open

(siyum) concluding the Ram-
