SO HOW DO you get to
Ellis Island these days? .. .
Well, for one thing, you don't
ask a New York cop, says
veteran Southfield High
special education teacher
Roberta Feinstein, an ex-New
Yorker . . . Roberta took
mother, Minnie Baritz, of Ft.
Lauderdale, Fla., to see her
nameplate in the new Ellis
Island Immigration Museum
. . . The plate, purchased by
Minnie's children, recognizes
Roberta's mom as one of the
millions of immigrants who
entered the U.S. through the
island.
Not sure just which street
led to Ellis Island, it's been a
while since she lived in New
York, Roberta spied one of
New York's finest on a corner
and stopped to ask . . . "Get to
Ellis Island?" bellowed the
cop. "Lady, you have to go to
Europe and take a boat!"

QUALITY AND CONSISTENCY IS OUR PRIORITY!

Go against-the grain.
Cut down on salt.

Adding salt to your food
could subtract years from
your life. Because in some
people salt contributes to
high blood pressure, a con-
dition that increases your
risk of heart disease.
