The opening Wiggle Club
show, "Harold and the Purple
Crayon" will be Oct. 27. This
simple story is of Harold, the
boy who creates his own world
with his trusty purple crayon.
The new season's Wiggle
Club "starter series" includes
Pinocchio (Dec. 1); Teach Us,
Amelia Bedelia (Jan. 19);
Kaleidoscope (Mar. 9); The
Ugly Duckling (March 30) and
Kideo (April 27).
The Youtheatre season also
will include Fourscore and
Seven Years Ago (Nov. 17), a
drama of a young runaway
slave during the Civil War;
the DIA's own Prince Street
Players in an original
90-minute musical version of
The Emperor's New Clothes
(Dec. 26-30 and May 18 and
25); and Jekyll and Hyde
(April 13), a contemporary
musical addressing substance
abuse among teens.
Also featured are return
engagements by "Amigo"
(May 11), a special show for
teenagers starring 24 young
singers and dancers from
Mexico City performing to
Broadway, and Salsa tunes
and "Kideo" (April 27), a
dynamic musical trio from
Toronto.

Weaves 'Web'

Pontiac Theatre IV will per-
form Charlotte's Web 7 p.m.
Oct. 11, 12, 13 at Pontiac Nor-
thern High School auditori-

Charlotte's Web is a full
length play adopted by
Joseph Robinette from the
book by E.B. White. This pro-
duction will feature a cast of
37 young people.

Artist On Picasso
