Detroit Youtheatre
Opens Season
Detroit Youtheatre will
raise the curtain on its 26th
season. During the next eight
months, young theatregoers
throughout Michigan will
have the opportunity to see
some of America's favorite
childhood characters such as
Pinocchio, Rumplestiltskin,
Puss 'N Boots, the Ugly
Duckling and a fairy princess.
The Detroit Youtheatre's
family-oriented performing
arts program in the Detroit
Institute of Arts Auditorium
will present performances at
11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on nearly
every Saturday through May.
On October 13,
Washington's Bob Brown
Puppet Productions will open
DYT's puppet show season
with the classic tale, Peter and
the Wolf a musical variety
show for ages 5 and older.
David Parker, known as
"The Pied Piper of Sign," will
continue the month on Oct.
