he Women's Division
Combined Sections'
meeting on behalf of
the 1991 Allied Jewish
Campaign and Operation
Exodus hosted a breakfast
on Sept. 27 at the home of
Marlene Borman. About
150 women attended and
heard guest speaker Sherry
Lansing, a Hollywood film
producer.
Ms. Lansing became the
first woman producer of a
major motion picture at
Twentieth Century Fox in
1980. She is now in partner-
ship with Stanley Jaffe.
Some of her film credits in-
clude: Chariots of Fire, Nine
to Five and The Accused.
She is co-chairman of the
United Jewish Appeal's
Women of Distinction and a
recipient of Brandeis Uni-
versity's Distinguished
Community Service Award.
Ms. Lansing noted how a
trip to Israel changed her
life forever, and she will
always be involved in the
Jewish community. Some
Women's Division members
at the meeting included:

Perlman, Beverly Liss,
Charlotte Tessler, Carol
Sue Coden, Susan
Pappas, Marianne Pesick,
Sharon Hart, Helen
Silverman, Hope Silver-
man, Susan Erlich, Carol

Irving Nussbaum spoke
on behalf of Operation Ex-
odus, giving an enlightening
speech. He urged that we do
not have a moment to lose

ISRAEL BONDS
The eighth annual Art and
Home Tour for Israel Bonds,
open to women who pur-
chase $1500 or more of Israel
Bond securities, viewed the
homes of Sheila and Hugh
Potiker and Martin and
Linda Weissman. The 75
guests then held a luncheon
meeting at the home of Julie
and Ed Levy.
The meeting also saw the
presentation of the State of
Israel's "Woman of Valor"
pin to Barbara - Stollman
for her profound dedication
to the Israel Bond's Women's
Division. Mrs. Stollman, a
past chairman of the Detroit
Women's Division, now

$660,000; Meryl Podolsky
is the Detroit Women's Divi-

drea Sachse, Ina Pitt, and
Judy Verona.

HERITAGE BALL
A patron's evening for the
upcoming Sinai Hospital
Heritage Ball, on Oct. 17 at
the Westin Hotel, was held
at Franklin Hills Country
Club on Sept. 26 hosted by
Susan and Robert
Sosnick and Linda and
Robert Taubman. Some
325 guests attended the

event which began with a
cocktail hour outside under
a lighted tent and then mov-
ed indoors for dinner.
Overheard in the crowd
were remarks about the
hard volunteer effort and the
terrific community support.

About 420 party-goers
dressed in tuxedos and eve-
ning gowns waved to

the annual Weizmann In-
stitute of Science dinner
held at the Hyatt Regency in
