Side Story Gray) with accom-
panist, telling the story of the
Canadian World War II flying
ace who became a hero in
spite of himself.
Billy Bishop is an ironic
biography which captures
both the exhiliaration of
flight and the brutality of war
. . . Bishop is led by cir-
cumstance to become a pilot,
and luck keeps him alive to
perfect his skills and turn
him into a national hero .. .
The musical score reflects the
contrasting themes of the
play.
Gray is at the piano while
numerous other characters
are featured in key roles .. .
Billy Bishop Goes To War
runs through Oct. 14.
