I
oin us for DISCOVERY SUNDAY — a one-day exploration into the
WHY of being Jewish. More than 40,000 Jews, from New York to
Nairobi, have taken full, three-day Discovery weekends since 1986.
Now for the second time, a one-day version is being offered in the Detroit
area — an electrifying experience for you and your family
The acclaimed DISCOVERY seminar was created by a team of
mathematicians, computer scientists, and Judaic scholars, and is run by
the Aish HaTorah College of Jewish Studies.
FASCINATING WORKSHOPS such as "The Hidden Codes of the
Torah" (computer analysis as applied to the Torah) and "Failsafe" (using
techniques of the Israeli Mossad to explore the Torah's origin) have
already inspired more than 40,000 Jews worldwide to rethink their
outlook on Judaism... and to appreciate the unparalleled depth of
Jewish knowledge and the richness of Jewish practice and culture.
The Sunday experience asks you to test the foundations of Judaism,
and exercise your mind in a variety of intellectually challenging classes.
It is an adventure in retrieving lost treasures—the vast riches of Judaism
lost today to millions of Jews.
If you and your family can leave DISCOVERY SUNDAY without a
whole new outlook on Judaism and Jewish life, then we've failed. But we
haven't failed — and we won't fail. Just as Judaism itself has not failed for
3,800 years.
