Family Program
At Adat Shalom

Adat Shalom Synagogue
will begin its Bar/Bat Mitz-
vah Family Program 9 a.m.
Oct. 14 with "A Jewish
Neighborhood Field Trip."
The program is one of six co-
sponsored by the synagogue
and its Agency for Jewish
Education Hebrew School.
Scharit service will be
followed by brunch and a bus
tour to the Oak Park area in-
cluding a Jewish bookstore,
kosher butcher, kosher
bakery, mikveh, and a sofer
who writes Torah scrolls and
makes tefillin.

Center Galleries
Host Art Show

The Center Galleries will
host "The Original Art," an
exhibition by the artist facul-
ty of the Crafts Department
of theCenter for Creative
Studies — College of Art and
Design Oct. 12-Nov. 21. The
exhibition will feature the
glass, metals, fiber, ceramics,
and wood-working disciplines
of the CCS-CAD Crafts
Department.
