host a dinner and sports pro-
gram at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 16 en-
titled "Highlights of the
Detroit Pistons' 1990 Cham-
pionship Season." There is no
charge.
Future events include a
two-part "Sandwich Genera-
tion Program" Nov. 14 and
Feb. 13. Speakers will discuss
geriatric care and social
security. A brunch will honor
past presidents; a Chanukah
event will be at Borman Hall,
a sports night at the Jewish
Community Center, Yom
HaShoah and Soviet Jewry
programs.

Literacy Program
The Social Action Commit-
tee of Adat Shalom
Synagogue will sponsor a pro-
gram which trains in-
dividuals to help adults who
never had the opportunity to
learn to read become literate.
