Years from now, we will tell and retell the odyssey of
hundreds of thousands of Soviet Jews who returned
to our People Israel.
But as witnesses to this event, many of us have ex-
perienced something more personal —whether
marching side by side in an expression of Jewish soli-
darity, or responding through Operation Exodus to
the urgency of a massive aliyah.
