"One of the attractive
features of this tour is that
singles can participate in an
age group of their choosing:
20-39, 35-55 and 55-120,"
said Geoffrey Weill, director
of AJCongress' interna-
tional travel program.
Following the Singles
Happening, AJCongress
travelers will visit the Ig-
uassu Falls in southern
Brazil.
There is a charge for the
tour, which includes round-
trip airfare, accommodations
and most meals. For infor-
mation, call Thea Cohen in

just returned from England,
where she is planning to
start up an AlaskaMen UK
edition, and is also going to
Hawaii to start an Island-
Men edition.
"People are starting to go
back to the old morals and
basic values, after that ge-
neration of people who went
through the 'new thinking'
at that time, and they simp-
ly forgot about parental feel-
ings. Now that they are
parents, they don't know
what's going on with their
own kids. So they just want
some motherly advice, the
kind of old-fashioned 'Jewish
mom' language that I write
about in my editorials," said
Ms. Carter.

of their major problems, she
said, is the same she hears
all over: young Jewish men
and women are having trou-

Ms. Carter is planning to
appear on a program in Los
Angeles with psychologist
Dr. Joyce Brothers, spon-
sored by the Guardians, a
group of "L.A. Jewish mill-

the role of Jewish men.
Dr. Brothers, who met
Carter when both appeared
on the same television show,
is interested in writing a
regular syndicated column
for Ms. Carter's expanding
publication empire.
Ms. Carter was also on the
Joan Rivers television show.
Half- jokingly, she added,
"Joan wants me to try to
find her a husband. You'd be
surprised how many famous
women contact me in
Alaska. It's kind of sad, be-
cause they're so isolated."
