The New Year is bringing new plans
to your Jewish Home for Aged • • •

Where our communiWs older adults begin the
golden years of their lives.

Message to the community:
At this, our season of renewal, we are committed to looking at ideal ways
for giving the newest and best nursing home care techniques to our com-
munity's older people. While we design a state-of-the-art facility to be con-
structed on the Jewish community campus in West Bloomfield, we are
planning "from the inside out:' This will allow a structure to be built that
will house unique service delivery systems accommodating the needs of
those who live within it.

Maintenance of care standards at our existing nursing home facilities,
Prentis Manor and Borman Hall, where highly skilled professionals care for
the frail elderly remains a priority during our planning and construction of
a new site.

You shall rise before the aged and show deference
to the old
LEVITICUS 19, 32

We take this opportunity to extend wishes for a joyous New Year to our
family members and the community on behalf of all of the residents and
staff at Fleischman Residence, our West Bloomfield home for aged serving
the semi-independent, as well as those at Borman Hall, Prentis Manor and
the Le Vine Institute on Aging.

David Hermelin
President

The Jewish Home for Aged has been
caring for the elderly in Detroit since
1907. Today, the Home cares for 422
residents at three facilities. In addition,
two day programs are offered for older
adults living at home. The Le Vine
Institute on Aging has also been created
within the structure of the Home to
explore the aging process and introduce
educational programs.
