B'nai Moshe Loans
Torah To School

Congregation B'nai Moshe
has loaned a Torah to the
Alternative Jewish
Cooperative Religious School
in Grand Rapids.
The school, which began
meeting in the home of David
and Cathy Reifler in
September, 1989, consists of
12 adults and 16 children.
A the school grew,
organizers began searching
for a Torah. Hearing about
the search, Congregation
B'nai Moshe offered to loan
the school a Torah, complete
with covering and pointer.
Rabbi Alan Meyerowitz said
the school can use the Torah
for the next few years while
the synagogue begins build-
ing a new facility in West
Bloomfield.
While most of the congrega-
tion's many Torahs are in
storage, the synagogue has
allowed two other Jewish

groups to borrow Torahs. The
Huntington Woods Minyan
and Young Israel of West
Bloomfield are both using
B'nai Moshe Ibrahs. The con-

lending a torah to the B`nai
B'rith Hillel Foundation in
Ann Arbor.
