Attic Theatre Opens Season The Attic Theatre's 15th season will open Sept. 19 with Billie Bishop Goes to War, a one-man musical (with ac- companist) written by John Gray in collaboration with Eric Peterson. The play re- counts the story of Canadian World War I flying ace, William Avery "Billy" Bishop who became a hero in spite of himself. Regularly scheduled perfor- mances are on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.; Thursdays and Fridays at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.; Sundays at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Additionally, on Wednesday, Oct. 3, a 2 p.m. matinee is scheduled. Theatre Grottesco Slates Opening Theatre Grottesco will pre- sent its 1989-90 hit Wenomaden (we-nomad-men) in three performances 8 p.m. Sept. 13-15 at the Players Theatre, 3321 Jefferson Ave. Wenomadmen is the story of four citizens of a future society who abandon their home to search the desert for water to rebuild a broken destiny.
