The Young Do Not Know
Enough To Be Careful.
Therefore They Attempt
The Impossible...
And Achieve It.

-Yiddish Proverb-

In just two years we've grown from 30
families to almost 600. We think it is
because we listen to each other and in
so doing create an atmosphere that is
warm, inviting, and most importantly,
fun. At Temple Shir Shalom, possibility
thinking, care, and spirituality have
meant success where others didn't think
it possible.

Attempting what others see as
impossible is what Temple Shir Shalom
is all about. Through understanding,
warmth, and acceptance, we've created
a congregation that truly listens and
cares. Newcomers, singles, couples,
blended families, converts, and
intermarrieds all share in the memories
we make daily.

We started with nothing but an ideal to
create a synagogue responsive to the
real needs of real people...and that's
exactly what we did. Temple Shir
Shalom is committed to religious, social,
and educational sharing based on a
positive feeling of togetherness and
family unity.

Guaranteeing that each of our children
will have their own Bar or Bat Mitzvah
at their own Shabbat services—without
having to share it with anyone else—is
not just our pledge, but our mission.

Our once-a-week Hebrew School
makes learning a pleasure rather than a
punishment. Our Tot-Shabbat Friday
Night Camp Program and pot-luck
Shabbat suppers are ways in which we
gather to enjoy one another. Programs
for intermarrieds, the Over 40-
Something set, and Prime Timers (over
68) are opportunities to share and learn
from life experiences.

We are planning a move to our new
building which will be located on the
southeast corner of Orchard Lake and
Walnut Lake Roads. We know it too
will be filled with promise.
For membership information, please
