New Address
For Federation?

munity's identity and rela-
tionship with Detroit.
But at an executive com-
mittee meeting scheduled

propose that the Federation
purchase land for the future
development of a new head-
quarters in Farmington
Hills.
Mr. Schlussel said that the
Federation has under con-
tract a six-acre parcel of land
at 13 Mile Road and Nor-
thwestern Highway. That
land will either be used to
construct a new head-
quarters, or Mr. Schlussel
said it would be "banked" if
the Federation decides in-
stead to develop an existing
building, still within the
Farmington Hills area.
Plans are preliminary and
no time table for a possible
move has been set. The Fed-
eration board of governors
is expected to address the
proposed move at a meeting
on Tuesday.
Mr. Schlussel indicated
that the Farmington Hills
location was considered be-
cause of its central location
between the Jewish Com-
munity Center at 10 Mile
Road in Oak Park and the
Maple Drake JCC in West
Bloomfield.
The new location would be
considered the principal
Federation office. A
