IN-WALL SPEAKERS

Let Vitex add room to all your rooms —
with flush mounted speakers that fit into
your walls. Speakers built on the theory
that music should be heard but not
seen. Our crew of specially trained craft-
smen will install Boston Acoustic
speakers in any room throughout your
home, blending perfectly, almost in-
visibly, with the decor. But more
remarkably, these speakers reproduce
music so accurately, even an audio-
phile's expectations are surpassed.

A Long Drive
For Soviet Jews

New York (JTA) — When
Sidney Renert of Mor-
ristown, Tenn., heard about
Soviet Jews who needed help
in New York, he didn't wait
for the local United Jewish
Appeal campaign to help
them. He drove on up to the
Empire State instead.
After reading in a local
newspaper that many Soviet
emigres in New York lack
the necessities for starting
their new lives, Renert drove
750 miles in a rented moving
van full of couches, lamps
and beds that he had been
keeping in storage.
Renert pulled up to a Pro-
ject Machson warehouse in
Brooklyn, and turned over
furniture worth more than
$10,000 to the Metropolitan
New York Coordinating
Council on Jewish Poverty.
As Renert supervised the
unloading, he remarked that
he would have donated the
furniture in Tennessee had
he not learned about the
Soviet Jews. But, he said, "I
felt I would get more
pleasure giving it to the
Russians.
"It reminds me that we're
all one big family," said
Renert, whose own mother
and father immigrated from
Poland and Austria.

Israelis
Smuggling
For Intifada

Tel Aviv (JTA) — Israeli
smugglers are working in
collusion with intifada ac-
tivists to illegally bring
agricultural products from
the administered territories
into Israel.
The contraband produce is
sold illegally as Israeli pro-
duce, according to a report in
Ma'ariv.
The two parties have diff-
erent motives for the impor-
tation. For the Israelis, the
incentive is profit. For the
Palestinians, it is the
dislocation of Israeli
agriculture.
According to Ma'ariv,
Israeli farmers and mer-
chants involved in the
racket provide the smug-
glers with forged bills of
lading.
Chai Binyamini, director
general of the Agriculture
Supervision Authority,
which exposed some of the
smuggling rings, revealed
that "Jewish smugglers who
enter the Gaza Strip at night
are provided with an escort
of intifada guards, to
facilitate their purchase of
merchandise."

Add volume controls and infrared remotes or an en-
tire media room including custom cabinets, projec-
tion TV, and surround sound components for a com-
plete audio/video system at prices that don't require
a second mortgage.
Call for a free in-home consultation or a showroom
demonstration and discover how you can add custom
audio/video without moving a piece of furniture.
