Syrian border by the exec-
utive director of the Israeli
Beef Organization.
Dailey said the Ohioans
felt a "sense of kinship"
with farmers at three kib-
butzim where cattle are
raised. They both face the
same problem of wild
animals preying on the
cattle.
But Dailey also cited a
problem unique to the
Israelis: Sometimes the cows
step on land mines and get
blown up.

Baker-Levy
Meeting
Postponed

Washington (JTA) — Sec-
retary of State James Baker
has postponed a meeting
planned for Thursday with
Israeli Foreign Minister
David Levy, and instead will
visit Turkey to discuss fur-
ther strategy in dealing with
Iraq.
The meeting has been
rescheduled for Sept. 6 or 7,
State Department spokes-
woman Margaret Tutwiler
announced Monday.
But Ms. Tutwiler said the
Iraqi invasion "doesn't
alter" U.S. hopes for Israeli
acquiescence to U.S. pro-
posals for holding Israel-
Palestinian talks in Cairo,
in order to discuss possible
elections in the West Bank
and Gaza Strip.
Oded Eran, Israel's deputy
ambassador here, said he
was not surprised by the
State Department's continu-
ing interest in such a
meeting.
"I don't think (the Iraqi
invasion) changes very dras-
tically the U.S. position on
this issue," Mr. Eran said.

Jerusalem (JTA) — The
head of Israel's Fuel Au-
thority assured the public
last week that the nation
has ample reserves of oil
available for strategic and
economic purposes.
Shimon Gilboa, the senior
Energy Ministry official
responsible for oil purchases,
spoke on the Army Radio
about the implications of
Iraq's invasion of Kuwait
last Thursday and the
takeover of its oil.
In the short term, this
could produce hikes in the
price of gasoline and other
petroleum products for
Israeli consumers, Mr.
Gilboa said.

Tissue Paper and Clothes

We are proud of the artful cleaning and the
fine finish our pressing gives your clothes. But
nothing ruins our work like hanging on a
hanger in a crowded closet. So we stuff each
garment with tissue paper to help keep the fine
pressed finish. We stuff the sleeves, body and
collar with tissue paper so that the garment
will be ready to go when you are.

Skillfully Stuffed:

One of the many reasons why knowledgeable
customers say:
"MY Cleaners is my cleaners."
