is in charge of the Israel Pro-
gram Center in the Jewish
Community Center.
The community shlicha is
under the supervision of the
Jewish Welfare Federation
and is funded by United
Jewish Charities and the
Jewish Agency for Israel.
A graduate of the State
University of New York, Em-
pire State College, with a
bachelor's degree in art and
education, Ms. Maas was part
of a youth delegation sent to
the United States by the
Israel Foreign Ministry in
1976.
She also attended the
Rubin Academy and the
Bezalel School of Art and
Design. She holds a cer-
tificate in Judaic and
humanistic studies from the
Kerem Teacher's College.
Joining Ms. Maas are Yif-
tach, her husband, who is a
senior graphic designer with
the Adler Studio in Tel Aviv,
and Nitzan, her daughter.
