Augusta Pernick, Pharmacy Owner Augusta Feral Pernick, 80, of West Bloomfield died Aug. 13. Mrs. Pernick was born in Russia. She was co-owner of Pernick's Pharmacy at Rochester and Dexter in Detroit from 1934-1962. She worked in the payroll depart- ment for the Detroit Board of Education for more than 10 years. She was a member of Aesculapian Pharmaceutical Society, Hadassah and B'nai B'rith Women. She leaves son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Stuart and Cynthia of West Bloom- field; daughter and son-in- law, Roslyn and Dr. Milton Spencer of West Bloomfield; brother, Harry Krause of West Bloomfield; nine grand- children and one great-grand- son. Irwin Nathanson, Insurance Exec Irwin "Buddy" Nathanson, 72, of Southfield, died Aug. 8. Mr. Nathanson was born in Toronto, Ont. For 31 years prior to owning his own agency, he was the area manager for United Insurance Company. He was the first reci- pient of an award created by the Mr. and Mrs. Group, "Buddy Nathanson Worker of the Year Award."
