Belinda, age 15, is one of
two female Australian track
and field athletes coming to
Detroit. She plans to com-
pete in high jump, shot put,
long jump and hurdles.
She won a bronze medal in
under-16 high jump at the
Australian national cham-
pionships in March and
silver medals in the Victoria
state championships in high
jump (1.65 meters) and hep-

tathalon.
She competed in Chicago
in the 1988 JCC Maccabi
Games, winning silver
medals in the shot put and
high jump. She was a mem-
ber of the Australian team
at the 1989 Maccabi Games
in Israel.
Belinda also represented
her school in netball,
basketball and cross country
this year.
