Agency Head
Cites Failure

Jerusalem (JTA) — Jewish
Agency Chairman Simcha
Dinitz blasted the govern-
ment Monday for not doing
its job with respect to immi-
grant absorption.
"After long months in
which the waves of immigra-
tion get larger and the Jew-
ish Agency fulfills its mis-
sion by bringing over immi-
grants and expanding the
routes of aliyah, the
government is still not
prepared for absorption,"
Mr. Dinitz charged at the
weekly meeting of the World
Zionist Organization Exec-
utive, which he also chairs.
Dinitz said the govern-
ment demonstrated its
"failure in coping with im-
migration" by the fact that
"until today, not one mobile
home was imported, not one
house was built."
Housing Minister Ariel
Sharon informed the
Cabinet on Sunday that the
first 1,000 imported homes
authorized by the govern-
ment will arrive within two
months and that another
4,000 will be here by the end
of the year. The government
also has authorized the con-
struction of 45,000 apart-
ments, mostly in Galilee and
the Negev. It has initially
allocated $500 million to
import or build housing.

Polish Paper
Is Denounced

Jerusalem (JTA) — Schol-
ars at the Yad Vashem
Holocaust museum have de-
nounced material circulated
by an extreme right-wing
group in Poland that ex-
presses support for Western
figures who deny Adolf
Hitler carried out mass
murders of European Jewry.
Professor Yisrael Gutman,
head of research at Yad
Vashem, and Dr. Shmuel
Krakowski, head of the mu-
seum archive, said that ma-
terials published in a
newsletter entitled Nasze
Sprawy (Matters of Our Con-
cern) are "shocking."
The society, based in
Stamford, Conn., had ex-
pressed concern about the
newsletter after the Soli-
darity newspaper Gazeta
Wyborcza editorialized
against it.
"I have seen many anti-
Semitic publications appear-
ing recently in Poland," said
Gutman of Yad Vashem,
"but this is the first time
that I have seen material in
Poland that denies that the
Holocaust took place."

QUESTION: I'm house-
hunting and get confused when I
try to remember the details of
each one. Any advice?

ANSWER: Once your Realtor
takes you house-hunting, he or
she will probably show you
several. Therefore, it's impor-
tant to take notes on what you
have seen or you may forget
which home is where, how big it
is, what shape it's in, and how
much it costs.
Your Realtor can provide you
with a checklist to make this task
easier. This way, you can in-
stantly recall the location, price,
construction, number of rooms,
heat, fuel, taxes, and financial
requirements. If you take a
Polaroid picture of the house to
go with the notes - so much the
better.

IT'S IMPORTANT TO KEEP
NOTES when househunting.
It will save frustration when
you compare one against the
other.
