Pearlena Bodzin, executive vice president of the Jewish Home for
Aged Auxiliary, is shown with Sam Davidson, a JHA Borman Hall
resident who is making use of the handicapped passenger lift to
enter the newest addition to the JHA transportation fleet. This bus,
purchased with proceeds from an "undinner" sponsored by the
Auxiliary along with the Clarence Asher Fund, seats 20 and can
accommodate three wheelchairs. Arnie Tunis, president of
Chesapeake Bus, trained staff in the use of special features with
which his company equipped the bus.
Resettlement Service
Seeks Lost Relatives
Resettlement Service has
been asked to participate in a
search for the Michigan
relatives of three families
from Eastern Europe.
S. M. Rovinsky is a Soviet
Jew searching for relatives by
the name of Alexander and
Saul Rovinsky, who im-
migrated to Detroit before
World War II from Melitpol in
the Ukraine. Mr. Rovinsky's
family address books were
destroyed during the Nazi
occupation.
Mira Mojsejewna Genkina,
an 85-year-old woman living
in Hungary, is searching for
her brother-in-law, Majer
Kupfer and nephew, Armin
Kupfer. Both men reportedly
emigrated to the Detroit area
from Tokaj, Hungary, in the
early 1950s.
Leonid Yankilevich, now
residing in New York, is in-
quiring about relatives who
may be living in Michigan.
They are Leo Redstone, a.k.a.
Samuil Rautenshtein, and
Manuel and Riva Redstone.
If you have any information
about these relatives, call
Elina Zilberberg, Resettle-
ment Service counselor,
559-4566.
