They can't seem to get through a day without lots of meat dripping in gravy. Cream always goes into their coffee. One sweet dessert leads to another. But the fact is, these foods can increase the level of cholesterol in the blood which can lead to heart disease. But there's a way to help yourself. By cutting down on the fatty -foods in your diet, you could reduce your blood cholesterol level and perhaps reduce your chance of heart disease. The concert will be held on the grounds of the temple. Concert-goers may bring a picnic dinner and a blanket; the temple will supply ice cream. The Kleveland Klezmorim are a touring ensemble play- ing Klezmer music with a twist. The twist is their weav- ing of the traditional sounds of the klezmorim, the initia- tion of the human voice in - sadness and joy, with the con- temporary sounds of jazz, calypso, African and rock 'n' roll. At one moment, the au- dience hears the Jewish soul in song; at the next they are transported to the Caribbean, New Orleans, or Harlem. The six-year-old ensemble, is comprised of Gregory L. Selker, marimba; Richard W. Uhler, clarinet; Bud Pickard, violin; Bill Roth, drums; and Martin Block, bass. There is no charge. Barbara Morse Hosts Cable Show Barbara Morse will host a new cable talk show, "Com- munity Views: which runs throughout August. Ms. Morse will be in- dependently producing pro- grams on channel 18 Con- tinental Cablevision which will air throughout the Oakland County area. Her first show has already been submitted to the Amateur Cable Producer's Contest. It is entitled "Until Death Do Us . . . Part" and is a tragic recount of happen- ings as Barbara and her late husband, Joel, attended the Michigan State Bar Conven- tion in Cancun, Mexico. The late Mr. Morse was invited as a guest speaker and shortly after his speech, suddenly fell ill and died of a fatal heart attack. Guests on her panel discus- sion include: Annette Langwald, president of Elkin Travel and Cruises Only; David lbchner, director of Ira Kaufman Funeral Chapel; and Jean M. Hansen, attorney. In 638 CE the Moslem Arabs conquered Jerusalem. The Jews, who had been driven from the city by the Byzan- tine rulers 10 years before, petitioned for the return of 200 families, but only 70 were allowed back.
