of the holidays and festivals
and their observances.
The sedra concludes with
Moses commanded to ascend
a mountain top from where
he will see the Promised Land
and then die. The fulfillment
of this command is postponed
to Deuteronomy 34, for Moses
had many laws and a lengthy

Joshua and commissioned
him "as the Lord had spoken
through Moses."
