Door to Door Transporta-
tion to the Jimmy Prentis
Morris Jewish Community
Center is offered to senior
adults. This service is provid-
ed through the efforts of the
Jewish Community Center,
the Jewish Information Ser-
vice, the Jewish Welfare
Federation and Jerome
Glassman.
Pick-up is scheduled for the
following areas: Monday —
Southfield and Detroit; Tues-
day — Oak Park; Wednesday
— Northwest Detroit, Oak
Park, Royal Oak, Southfield
and Berkley; Friday — Oak
Park, Royal Oak and Berkley.
Passengers will be picked
up at their homes beginning
at 9:30 a.m. and return from
the Center at 3 p.m. A dona-
tion of $1 for the round trip is
suggested.

Blue Cross Seeks
Award Nominees
Blue Cross and Blue Shield
of Michigan is seeking
nominations for its first an-
nual Senior Services Award
established in memory of the
late Senator Claude Pepper.
The nomination deadline is
July 1.
The award will be given to
a senior citizen who
demonstrates caring, concern
and understanding of seniors'
special needs.
Award nominees should be
an advocate for seniors, in-
cluding those who do not
receive adequate health care
because of mental, physical,
financial, or geographic
limitations. Nominees' con-
tributions may serve all, or
part of, the state of Michigan.
A 500-word nominating
statement describing the in-
dividual's accomplishments
and any other materials that
highlight the person's
achievements should be sent
