Ilene Zeff has received the
Laela Miller Saulson Scholar-
ship Fund. The scholarship is
given to students who have
demonstrated academic
achievement, and desire to
serve mankind.
Zeff will attend the Univer-
sity of Pennsylvania in
preparation for entrance to
the medical college. She has
degrees from the University
of Michigan and U.C.L.A.

Bais Chabad Hosts
Summer Classes

Bais Chabad of Farmington
Hills plans on-going summer
courses to be held on Sundays,
Mondays, Wednesdays and
Thursdays.
At 9 a.m. Sundays, daven-
ing will begin at the Farm-
ington Hills synagogue
followed by a 10 a.m. brunch
and a discussion at 10:15 a.m.
led by Rabbi Chaim Moshe
Bergstein on "Current
Events in Light of Torah."
Rabbi Bergstein will also
teach a course on
Maimonides, basic Judaism
at 11 a.m. Sundays.
Rabbi Bergstein will hold
two classes on Mondays. At
7:30 p.m. there will be a class
on Jewish Law and at 8:30
p.m. there will be a class on
Reincarnation, Life Beyond
Life.
Rabbi Bergstein will
discuss ethics during his class
on the Development of

Human Emotions Within an
Ethical System, 8 p.m.
Wednesdays.
A course on the Talmud,
Sanhedrin will be held at 9
p.m. Thursdays at Congrega-
tion Mishkan Israel of Oak
Park. Rabbi Bergstein will
lead the discussion.
A brunch forum will be held
Sundays in East Lansing at
the home of Itzik and Meira
Artzi. Itzik will lead a discus-
sion of the history of Israel,
heritage of Judaism and
Jewish pride.

Torah Discussion
Set For July 2

"Using the Light of Torah"
will be the topic of discussion
at 8:45 p.m. on July 2 at the
home of Dr. Hillel Rosenfeld
in Oak Park.
The class, part of an ongo-
ing series led by Rosenfeld
and Rabbi Herschel Finman,
will explore ways to use the
Torah as a guide. The class is
open to the public. There is no

Aish HaTorah
Plans Classes

Aish Halbrah will offer a
class dealing with the age of
the earth and does the
Biblical account of creation
contradict with scientific fact;
it will be at -8 p.m. July 9 in
the Aish Halbrah office.
The class is open to the
public. There is a charge. For
information, call the Aish
Halbrah office, 948-6900.
Aish Halbrah/Aleynu will
offer a Hebrew Crash Course
designed to help students
follow along in the Machzor
this Rosh Hashanah and Yom
Kippur.
This five-week course will
be held in the Aish Halbrah
office in Southfield and Con-
gregation Ohel Moed of
Shomrey Emunah of West
Bloomfield beginning in
mid-August.
