daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ar-
thur Fischer of Southfield.

Holocaust Author
To Speak For CHAIM

C.H.A.I.M. — Children of
Holocaust-Survivors Associa-
tion in Michigan will host Dr.
Yehuda Nir, a New York
psychiatrist and Holocaust
survivor, 7 p.m. June 24 at the

his childhood experiences in
wartime Poland. The book,
written from the point of view
of a nine-year-old boy,
describes how he, his mother,
and sister survived in War-
saw posing as Poles and work-
ing for German employers.
Nir will discuss his ex-
periences during the war as
well as psychological insights
on Holocaust survivors and
children of survivors.
The lecture is made with
the cooperation of the
Holocaust Memorial Center.
There is a charge for
non-members.
