Cohn Endowment
To The Zoo

The family of the late Joyce
H. Cohn has provided a
$50,000 endowment to the
Detroit Zoological Society in
Mrs. Cohn's memory.
U.S. District Judge Avern
Cohn, the late Mrs. Cohn's
husband, and his sister and
brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
John M. Haddow have
specified that income from
the gift be used for discre-
tionary purposes by the Zoo's
director.
Mrs. Cohn was an eight-
year member of the Zoological
Parks Commission and a Zoo
volunteer for 20 years.
The endowment will permit
the zoo director to take advan-
tage of opportunities for
which no budgeted funds are
available.
