CAKE
3 c. blueberries
1 /2 c. butter or margarine
3 /4 c. sugar, firmly packed
2 lg eggs
2 c. flour sifted with 1/2
tsp. salt

1 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. vanilla
Cream butter or margarine
with sugars until light and
fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Add
eggs, one at a time, beating
after each one. Mix sour
cream with baking soda; add
to creamed mixture alter-
nately with flour, beginning
and ending with flour. Spread
batter evenly on top. Sprinkle
crumb mixture over berries.
Bake at 350 degrees for about
45 minutes or until tested
done. Serves 10.
Crumb topping:
% c. softened butter
1 c. brown sugar, firmly
packed
1 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
TRIPLE LAYER
BROWNIES
2 cups sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
% cup cocoa
1 teaspoon baking
powder
1 teaspoon salt
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
extract
2 cups miniature
marshmallows
2 cups (one 12-ounce
package) peanut
butter chips
2 tablespoons shortening
3 cups crisp rice cereal
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a 13- by 9- by 2-inch
baking pan. In large bowl stir
together sugar, flour, cocoa,
baking powder and salt. With
pastry blender cut in butter
until mixture resembles
coarse crumbs; set aside.
In another large bowl light-
ly beat eggs and vanilla. Add
dry mixture to egg mixture;
beat until ingredients are
well blended. Spoon batter in-
to prepared pan. Bake 25
minutes in 350-degree F oven.
Remove from oven. Sprinkle
marshmallows evenly over
brownies, covering entire sur-
face. Return to oven. Bake
additional 5 minutes. Remove
from oven.
Combine peanut butter
chips and shortening in top of
double boiler over hot, not
boiling, water. Stir until
melted. Add rice cereal. CI
