Rosalind now live in San
Diego.
And so the 45th anniver-
sary brunch celebration by
Lou and Gladys at their home
. . . About 40 other survivors
from various concentration
camps also attended.
Among the guests
celebrating with Lou and
Gladys were five who had
been interned at the same
camp with him . . . Rose
Pilcowitz, Julian Wagner, Lou
Stybiel and Henry and Dora
Grunstein of Toronto.
YOU'RE GETTING older
if you remember . . . when
everybody saved string and
tinfoil and United Cigar store
coupons . . . When you could
see bedding being "aired out"
over apartment house win-
dow sills . . . When a full set
of dishes was given away in
the movie theaters.
VIDEO CRITIQUE . . . by
Mike Dembs . . . Back To The
Future 2 . . . "Here's a movie
that spends so much time and
effort just trying to make
sense that it virtually wrings
out any humor, suspense or
entertainment. The whole
gang is back including, of
course, Michael J. Fox in
three roles. What's the point
of that? I suppose some people
thought it funny to see him
in drag as his own sister, but
it didn't help the plot any.
This is a confusing movie.
How do I know that? Because
they felt it necessary to bring
out a blackboard in the mid-
dle of the movie to explain to
the audience what was hap-
pening. Oh boy!"
ALMA SMITH Trio is
Wednesday and Thursday
evenings at Rhinoceros
restaurant in Detroit's River-
town district on Riopelle.
The jazz gal was recently
awarded an honorary doc-
torate of philosophy by the
Elysian College of Liberal
Arts in Jarkarta, Indonesia
. . . It was bestowed for her
ongoing successful efforts in
bringing jazz to third world
countries.
EACH YEAR, guitarist-
songster Judy Goldstein
donates her time and talents
to a couple of auctions put on
by charitable groups . . . She
feels it is her way of giving
back to the community a
small portion of all she has
been given.
Judy's latest was June 3 for
the Men's Club of Adat
Shalom Synagogue . . . Each
year, the fellows cook
breakfast for JARC members
who are bused to the
synagogue from group homes.

CHOLESTERHOLICS EAT
LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW

Cholesterholics love rich, fatty foods. They can't seem to get
through a day without lots of meat dripping in gravy. Cream
always goes into their coffee. One sweet dessert leads to
another. But the fact is, these foods can increase the level of
cholesterol in the blood which can lead to heart disease.

But there's a way to help yourself. By cutting down on the fatty
foods in your diet, you could reduce your blood cholesterol
level and perhaps reduce your chance of heart disease.

So if you think you might be a cholesterholic, contact your
American Heart Association for a diet good for life.
