University but will study in
Israel this coming year. He is
national president of the Na-
tional Conference of
Synagogue Youth, is a
member of the National
Honor Society, Phi Beta Kap-
pa and on the Senior Class
Board. He is a founding
member of the Southfield-
Lathrup AP Calculus Club
and prime minister of S-L's In-
teract Service Club. He has a
varsity letter in hockey.

Seitzman is valedictorian and
president of National Honor
Society, president of German
Club, Phi Beta Kappa, and
four-year-student council
member. She was the lead in
her school's dramatic produc-
tions and was a state finalist
in forensics competitions. For
the past two years, she has
been a second grade Sunday
school tutor/assistant teacher
at Beth Abraham Hillel
Moses. She plans to attend
Residential College at the
University of Michigan.

Ruderman will attend James
Madison Honors College at
Michigan State University.
He plans to major in interna-
tional relations, with a minor
in either Spanish or account-
ing. He is a National Merit
Scholarship finalist, Phi Beta
Kappa and qualified for the
Michigan Competitive
Scholarship. For two years he
was a member of the National
Honors Society and its tutor-
ing chairman, and elected to
Class Board as a junior and
senior. He played varsity soc-
cer three years and is a na-
tionally certified soccer
referee. He played varsity ten-
nis three years.

Saks has won Hebrew and
secular awards and has serv-
ed as co-head of the Interna-
tional Beth Jacob Conven-
tion, hosted this past year in
Detroit. She also volunteers
her time at Yad Ezra, the
kosher food bank. She is Phi
Beta Kappa and a Wayne
State Merit Scholarship reci-
pient, and a Michigan Com-
petitive Scholarship qualifier.
She plans to attend Wayne
State University.

Siegel will attend the Univer-
sity of Michigan and plans to
study accounting and pre-law.
He is Phi Beta Kappa, a
member of Senior Board, ac-
countant for the school
newspaper, has played base-
ball for Detroit in the North
American Maccabi Youth
Games, and is past president
of his BBYO chapter.

Starrman will attend the
engineering school at Univer-
sity of Michigan, where she
will pursue a degree in en-
vironmental engineering and
business administration. She
hopes to earn a doctorate and
eventually work in Congress.
She is a member of National
Honor Society, the school
forensics team and is editor-
in-chief of her school
newspaper. She has also serv-
ed as a United States House
of Representatives page.

Wagner is a salutatorian and
will attend the University of
Michigan. She is yearbook
editor, a member of the Na-
tional Honor Society, Phi
Beta Kappa and received se-
cond place in the League of
Jewish Women's Organiza-
tions Young Leader of the
Year award. She is founder of
the Soviet Jewry Youth Com-
mittee, attends Camp Ramah
in Canada and spent the past
summer in Israel. She will
also be graduating from
Shaarey Zedek religious high
school.

Watnick will attend Lyman
Briggs College at Michigan
State University. She plans to
major in biology and pursue
a career in medicine. She
hopes to include a year of
study in Israel. She is a
member of the National
Honor Society, Phi Beta Kap-
pa, and an all-district foren-
sics team member. Watnick
was selected for the 1989
Jerusalem Experience.

Zeff will eventually attend
the University of Michigan,
but this fall will go to Israel
on Young Judaea's year
course. He has served on the
regional executive board for
Young Judaea, as well as Con-
gregation Shaarey Zedek
USY'S chapter board. He is a
member of National Honor
Society and the school
newspaper staff. Zeff has
tutored bar/bat mitzvah
students and played on the
JCC basketball team.
