Dr. and Mrs. Nelson Sklar
of West Bloomfield are happy
to announce the engagement
of their daughter, Amy Beth,
to Dr. David Adam Bloom, son
of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Bloom
of Dix Hills, N.Y.
Amy earned a bachelor's
degree and a teaching cer-
tificate from the University of
Michigan and teaches at
Walled Lake Western High
School. She plans to attend
law school in Boston in the
fall.

David obtained his under-
graduate degree in classics at
Tufts University in Boston
and earned his medical
degree from the University of
Michigan. David is interning
at Henry Ford Hospital in
Detroit and will begin a
residency program in
Radiology at Harvard's
Brigham and Woman's
Hospital in Boston in July.
A September wedding is
planned.
