Shatzman was elected to
the presidency after serving
as vice president and
secretary/treasurer. Jerrold

became secretary/treasurer.
Also named to the board was

Orchards Children's Ser-
vices, headquartered in
Southfield, is a non-sectarian,
non-profit agency that began
as a program of the National
Council of Jewish Women,
Greater Detroit Section, in
1962.
Orchards became an in-
dependent private agency in
1987 and is now a major pro-
vider of foster care and
special needs adoption ser-
vices in Michigan.
