Brian E. Kepes has been
nominated as president of the
Jewish Welfare Federation's
Young Adult division. The
52nd annual meeting will be
7:30 p.m. June 28 at the
Radisson Hotel Pontchar-
train.
In addition to the election
and installation of officers
and board members, the pro-
gram will include a report by
outgoing President Paul
Magy and dancing to the
music of the Regular Boys. A
cash bar will be available.
There is a charge. Con-
tributors to the 1990 Allied
Jewish Campaign are eligible
to attend.
Magy has been nominated
as chairman of the executive
committee. Susan Alterman,
Richard Broder and Nathan
Leader are nominees for vice
president. Laurie Frankel has
been nominated for secretary.
Nominated to serve on the
executive committee as

Grand Rapids Bonds
Honor Sol Bach
A tribute dinner sponsored
by Congregation Ahavas
Israel and Temple Emanuel
will honor Grand Rapids com-
munity leader Sol Bach, reci-
pient of the State of Israel's
Freedom Award 6 p.m. June 4
in the Amway Grand Plaza
Hotel.
All proceeds from the sale of
Israel Bonds will be used to
build housing and create job
opportunities for the
thousands of Soviet Jews
emigrating to Israel.
Chairing the dinner is Ed-
ward Miller; honorary chair-
man is Hy Berkowitz.
Bach is a native of Grand
Rapids, attending Grand
Rapids Junior College and
Northwestern University,
where he earned a B.S. degree
in Business Administration.
Sol Bach
He served as an ad-
ministrative officer in the
U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946.
