large event, consider renting
extra seating and garden
elements. Don't be afraid to
use lots of pillows for comfort
and color. Inexpensive coor-
dinated tablecloths and
napkins can also harmonize
with your color scheme.
Appeal to all the senses.
Windchimes, fragrant plants,

a party mood that can last a
long time into the night and
make yours a memorable

• Select a location that
keeps the grill away from
walls and avoids placement
beneath overhanging tree
branches or lawn umbrellas.
• Read instructions careful-
ly before lighting gas and
electric grills. Do not turn on
the gas source before striking
a match. Gas could build up
and cause an explosion.
• Be sure parts of the gas
and electrical lines are not
near heat. Wires could melt
or burn, presenting a major
fire hazard or gas leak.
• Keep children and pets
away from grills. Children
unknowingly might touch hot
surfaces; dog or cat could
knock over a grill and suffer
severe burns.
• Use long-handled utensils
to remain at a safe distance
from flames.
• Never leave fopd unat-
tended on a grill.
• Remember to turn off the
gas, snuff out the fire or
unplug the grill after cooking.
Allow coals to cool, then
drench them with wter and
smother with dirt and sand.

There are poets who put words together
With verse used a clever way
But my rhymes clearly outshine the others
For the message you wish to convey.

If you want to bestow a blessing
Or salute a triumphant event
Remember to call Ricipte arc Ream(
And your time will be very well spent.

Caution Urged
For Barbecues

As relaxation and recrea-
tion shift outdoors,
barbecuers are being urged to
exercise outdoor fire safety
rules that could save hun-
dreds of lives this season.
The Dictograph Security In-
formation Bureau warns that
outdoor fires pose hazards too
often ignored by the average
barbecuer.
It recommends gas grills
should be allowed proper ven-
tilation and never be lighted
in garages or sheds because
burning charcoal produces
toxic gases that can be lethal
in excessive doese.
It also suggests that only
charcoal lighting fluid be us-
ed when lighting a charcoal
grill. Never add additional
fluid once the coals are burn-
ing because the heat can ig-
nite the fluid which can
follow the spray to the can,
causing it to explode in hand.
