Whether you're hosting the class reu- nion, weekend guests or your daughter's wedding recep- tion, making your outdoor party room special is easy to do with a few quick tricks. Look at the view your guests will have when they first arrive. Is your home easi- ly identified? Welcoming signs in keeping with your party's theme, windsocks or bunches of balloons offer a cheery welcome to guests and make it easy to spot which house is yours. If your party is at night, this may be the time to install outdoor lighting to enhance your landscaping and light the way. If possible, il- luminate your home's house numbers to make them easy to read. Plan well in advance for parking needs if you're expec- ting a crowd. Asking neighbors to cooperate is much easier with advance notice and makes for har- monious relationships. You may even want to hire respon- sible teenagers to help direct and park cars. Try some instant landscap- ing to add eye appeal. Con- tainer plants can work wonders and are exceptional- ly versatile. A single dramatic plant by an entry way can reveal much of the personali- ty of the home's occupants. Move indoor plants outdoors to give them an airing while they visually fill in sparse areas. Groups of container plants, whether hanging, on a tabletop or at ground level, can create visual backdrops, help direct foot traffic or create quiet corners for sit- ting. Don't be afraid to selec- tively spot fill with artificial blooms for color that coor- dinates with your decor. Your lawn will be the ideal spot for yard games or an overflow crowd. One of the best ways to get it looking its party best is to apply Greensweep lawn food, an easy-to-apply fertilizer that's ideal for rapid turf green-up. Greensweep liquid care pro- ducts are premixed and premeasured. A quick hook up to the garden hose and you can spray Greensweep on 5,000 sqaure feet in about 10 minutes. Because the lawn food is delivered to the blades of the grass, it is quickly ab- sorbed and offers a rapid green-up boost. Arrange places around the yard for guests to gather and sit. If you're planning for a
