very slowly until tender.
Drain and set aside to cool
Gently stir in oil, vinegar, red
and yellow peppers and green
onions. Season to taste with
salt and pepper. Serve at room
temperature or chilled.
Serves 4 to 6.
MILK CHOCOLATE
CHEESECAKE WITH
WHITE CHOCOLATE
CHUNKS
6 oz chocolate cookie
crumbs
4 tablespoons butter,
melted
11/2 pounds cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
12 oz milk chocolate,
melted
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup sour cream
1 cup white chocolate cut
in 1/4 inch chunks
Preheat oven to 350F. Line
the bottom of a 9-inch
springform with parchment
paper. Combine cookie
crumbs with melted butter.
Pat into bottom of springform.
Bake for 8 minutes in
preheated oven. Beat cream
cheese until smooth. Add
melted milk chocolate, sour
cream and eggs and blend
well. Stir in white chocolate
chunks. Pour into prepared
pan and bake in preheated
oven for 11/2 hours. Cool com-
pletely before serving. Makes
8 to 10 servings.

ingham will spearhead the
local recruiting effort for a na-
tional mission to Israel
celebrating the 50th anniver-
sary of the American Society
for Technion.
"The Road to In-
dependence" will give par-
ticipants an opportunity to
see Israel through the con-
tributions of Technion-Israel
Institute of Technology.
The mission will be held
from April 10-21, 1991, and
will focus the ways in which
Technion graduates and
researchers have had an im-
pact on Israeli life. Visits to
industries, defense bases, kib-
butzim and historical sites
will offer a first-hand view of
results of the fifty-year part-
nership between ATS and the
Technion.
A highlight of the trip will
be celebration of In-
dependence Day in Israel.
