The Lyric Chamber Ensem-
ble will present a concert
devoted to the music of
Gabriel Faure at the Edsel
and Eleanor Ford House in
Grosse Pointe Shores 3:30
p.m. May 20.
The program features
Faure's "Claire de Lune,"
"Mandoline," and "Apres une
Reve" with Earnestine Nim-
mons (soprano) and Fedora
Horwitz (piano); "Sonata for
Violin and Piano in A major,
Op. 13" with Geoffrey Ap-
plegate and Fedora Horowitz;
and the "Piano Quartet, Op.
15" performed by Geoffrey
Applegate (violin), James Van
Valkenburg (viola), Marcy
Chanteaux (cello), and Fedora
Horowitz (piano).

presented by the "Pro Mozart
Society of Greater Detroit"

Drive, Grosse Pointe Farms.
Marguerite K. Chajes,
founder and artistic director
of the Society, and members
of the program committee,
headed by vice-president Dr.
Larry R. Berkower, have
chosen to present the pro-
gram, which includes works
by the three generations of
Mozarts. It is to be in memory
of Dr. Clarisse Fineman.
It will include duets for two
violins by "Papa" Leopold,
violinist, conductor and
teacher. He wrote the book
The School of Violins.
