ROSE KLEINER
Special to The Jewish News
T
ours of Jewish interest
in 1990 are numerous
and diverse and should
appeal to travelers of every
age and background. A small
sample follows.
First are the many in-
novative tours to Israel. A se-
ries of special trips is offered
by the largest Jewish travel
program in the world, that of
the International Travel sec-
tion of the American Jewish
Congress. Among their
specially designed tours are
Israel for Singles and Israel
Slow and Easy.
The Israel With The Kids
program is designed for
families with young children.
This 15-day trip includes ac-
tivities aimed at toddlers
through early bar-mitzvah-
age children, giving parents
a much needed vacation for
themselves and a chance to
see the country, while still
spending time with their
children. Parents can sightsee
part, or all of the time, with
their children, if they wish.
The tour departs August 20,
1990. For information about
the above tours, call (212)
879-4588.
Package tours to Israel are
available with El Al Israel
Airlines. The Sunsational
Israel package comes with a
free rental car and discount
coupons. El Al's escorted Milk
and Honey tours include
breakfast daily, deluxe buses
or private cars, and English-
speaking tour guides. Tours
depart weekly from the U.S.
The Israel Discovery Tour in-
cludes stays in Jerusalem, Tel
Aviv and the Galilee.
El Al's Israel At Leisure
tour, departing from New
York each Monday, has two
choices for travelers. One can
select the Jerusalem Exten-
sion (14 nights in Jerusalem,
then to Tel Aviv and the
Galilee), or the Tiberias Ex-
tension (health treatments,

Aviv).

generations will be held June
24 to July 8. Its purpose is to
make it possible for grand-

Israel with their children or

a program of activities where
the two generations can par-
