We are proposing to do this condo
in pastel colors beginning with peach
carpeting and accenting the rooms
with turquoise and lilac.
In the master bedroom, we would
use an upholstered king-size bed with
two interesting chests as night tables.
We would use a wall unit in place of the
usual dresser and armoire. This would
accommodate a TV, stereo and
clothing. The window treatment would
consist of soft pleated blinds with a
balloon valance.
We would use a settee in front of the
window which would be upholstered
in a print to match the valance. The
same print would be used for throw
pillows which would be placed on the
bed. The coverlet on the bed would be
made in a solid fabric in a coordinating
color. The colors in the print fabric will
be in peach, turquoise and lilac.
The wallpaper in the master bath will
be in a geometric print in the same
colors.
Recessed lighting will be used
throughout the condo to avoid the clut-
ter of lamps and to give even and
dramatic lighting.
The dining room is a small area,
therefore, I would mirror the back wall
and use a mirrored shelf across the
same wall. The shelf would act as a
serving area and the mirrors would
give the illusion of larger space. We
would use a round table and four

/(ee

chairs to be used as a dining table or
game table. The table would have two
self storing leaves, hidden in the
pedestal, to extend as necessary.
The living room will have a comfor-
table sectional around the fireplace
with a cocktail table in front of it. We
would use a wall unit next to the
fireplace for additional storage. Plants
and trees would be used throughout.
In the study/second bedroom we
would use a sofa that turns into a
sleeper with a comfortable chair next
to it. We would place a small entertain-
ment center in this room to house a TV,
stereo and VCR. This room would then
be functional for a library or a guest
room when necessary.
The use of light colors and mirrors
will give a light and spacious feeling
throughout the condo. The use of
several wall systems in the home will
give an uncluttered look along with
much needed additional storage area.

The layout, fabrics and finishes of
this Sierra Pointe condominium can be
sophisticated and dynamic, yet
moderately priced.
