plegate and Fedora Horowitz;
and the Piano Quartet, Op.15
performed by Geoffrey Ap-
plegate (violin), James Van
Valkenburg (viola), Marcy
Chanteaux (cello), and Fedora
Horowitz (piano).

Wayne's Photos
At DIA

Former Detroiter Julie
Wayne's photographs will be
on display at the Detroit In-
stitute of Arts through June
24 in its group show "Recent
Acquisitions in Photography."
Her photo, "Two Women in
Leopard Coats," which has
appeared in many French
photo magazines, was recent-
ly in Detroit Monthly.
Wayne, the daughter of Dr.
and Mrs. Leonard Wayne of
Southfield, lives in Paris,
France.

Village Players
Set 'Magnolias'

The Village Players of Bir-
mingham presents Steel
Magnolias by Robert Harling.
This is a play that is suffused
with humor and tinged with
tragedy — a picture of eccen-
tricity in a small town in the
South.
The show dates are May 11,
12, 13, 18, 19 and 20. Curtain
is 8:30 p.m. May 13 is a Sun-
day matinee at 2 p.m. May 20
