In the late 1970s, Cheiniouk became a founding member and principal violinist of the Moscow Vir- tuosi Chamber Orchestra, directed by Vladimir Spivakov. From 1980 until 1985, when he came to the United States of America, he toured with this orchestra throughout Europe and Japan and participated in festivals including. Granada, Spain; Spring in Prague; and Tours, France. Cheiniouk performed with the Moscow Chamber Or- chestra at the opening of the Sidney Opera House, Australia, before Her Majes- ty, Queen Elizabeth the Second.
