The Senior Adult Depart-
ment of the Maple-Drake
building will offer the follow-
ing programs:
April 30 — Israel's 42nd bir-
thday with soprano Marsha
Rofel. Brown bag lunch. Ap-
petizers and dessert will be
provided at 12:30 p.m. in
Room 239. There is a charge.
May 1— The Walking Club
in the Rosenberg Complex
9 a.m.-10 a.m. Register with
Marg Weitzer, Ext. 314.
Fitness through Folk Dance
1 p.m. in Room 150. This six-
week series emphasizes
Israeli dancing. For informa-
tion, call Marilyn Wolfe,

May 2 — Barbara Mellen of-
fers "Mindscape: Expressions
Through Art." Painting and
other media will be the tools
for expression in Room 150,
1-3 p.m. for six weeks. There

a weekly Erev Shabbat pro-
gram 12:30 p.m. April 27 in
Jaffe Hall. Cantor Max
Shimansky will lead the ser-
vice. "Love of Learning, a
discussion group, meets 12:30
p.m., Room 4 with facilitator
Israel Klaymer.
April 29 — An out-trip is
planned for the "Mozart
Jubilee" at Orchestra Hall. A
bus will leave the Center at
2:15 p.m. Reservations are re-
quired. There is a charge.
April 30 — Art class with
Harriet Gelfond, 9 a.m.,
Room 11. Fitness for All in
the gym at 11 a.m. Ben
Gurion Men's Club, Room 3,
noon. Rabbi Gorrelick will

Play Mah Jongg

The Senior Adult Depart-

will begin a four week mah
jongg class 10 a.m. to noon
April 26, in room 239. The

Center Seniors
Plan Trip

The Senior Adult Depart-
ment of the Jewish Com-
munity Center will take a
trip to Stratford May 16 and
17. The plays will be the
musical Guys and Dolls and
Shakespeare's comedy The
Merry Wives of Windsor.
The trip includes transpor-
tation, admission to both
plays, dinner, hotel accom-
modations, backstage or city
tour, baggage handling, and a
travel escort.

Senior Group
Sets Meeting

The Senior Group of Con-
gregation Beth Abraham
Hillel Moses will meet noon
April 29 at the synagogue.
Lunch will be served followed
by a social hour.

Seniors Get
ID Cards

A photographer will be on
hand during the month of
May to provide identification
cards for older adults, as part
of the Oakland Livingston
Human Service Agency's
Senior Discount Program.
Older adults who have
reached 60 and live in
Oakland County, may apply
for the identification cards
which show a photograph,
name, address, date of birth,
