The Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion Women's Division is tak-
ing reservations for its Hours
for Ours presentation on
volunteer opportunities to be
held 9 a.m. May 3 at the
Federation Apartments.
The day will include con-
tinental breakfast and a tour
of the apartments and the
Jewish Vocational Service.

James August has been
named chairman of the Allied
Jewish Campaign's Project
Renewal Committee and
Peter M. Alter, chairman of
the Israel and Overseas Com-
mittee of the Jewish Welfare
Federation.
Treasurer of the Federation,
August is a former chairman
of its Conference of Division
Chairmen and the Communi-
ty Services Division. He is a
member of the board of the
Max M. Fisher Jewish Com-
munity Foundation, and of
United Jewish Charities.

and Campaign Management
Committees. He sits on the
Sinai Hospital Board of
Trustees.
Alter is vice chairman of
the National Executive Corn-
mittee, Anti-Defamation
League of B'nai B'rith. Na-
tional chairman of Project
OTZMA, an Israel study-
service program for college
students, he also serves on
several Council of Jewish
Federations committees.
