Bellmor, a magnificent cut stone and masonry English
Tudor mansion built in 1928 is the 1990 Designer's show
house. The home is located at 15420 Windmill Pointe Dr.,
in Grosse Pointe Park. 30 design firms are involved in
decorating this show house that contains 33 rooms and 16
baths. The estate boasts 7 fireplaces and 6 staircases,
including one that sweeps up 22 stairs to a gallery hall.
Bellmor has 12-14 foot ceilings featuring elaborate plaster
work, exquisitely carved and detailed oak paneling as well
as wide plank oak floors and a 6 car garage.
The showhouse will be open from Tuesday, May 1
through Monday, May 28, 1990. Hours are: Tuesdays thru
Fridays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and in the evenings, Wednesday
thru Friday 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays
12:00 to 5:00 p.m. The house will be closed on Mondays
with the exception of Memorial Day which will be open
12:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Tickets are available at the door for $10.00. $2.00
