Gallery Has
Fund-Raiser

The Danielle Peleg Gallery
in West Bloomfield will hold
an exhibition, "Ladies of the
'90s,' April 28 to raise funds
for the Haven, Oakland
County's only shelter for
physically and sexually abus-
ed women and children.
A cocktail reception, 8 p.m.
April 28 will kick off the ex-
hibition and fund-raiser.
The Steering Committee for
the event includes various
local "Ladies of the '90s" who
have established themselves
as successful career women in
the community. They are
Susan Hipsley, Editor of
Michigan Woman; Sandra
Dubin, Probation Officer,
45th District Court;
Rosemary Gilchrist, Presi-
dent of Preferred Medical
Associates; and Kathleen
Wilson-Fink, Attorney at
Law.
The exhibition includes
works by 10 artists, portray-
ing women as the focus of
their creations on original
silk screens, serigraphs, pen-
cil, water-color and oil on
canvas.
The artists are Rene Gruau,
Peter Max, Frank Gallo, Itz-
chak Tarkay, Frederick Hart,
Bill Mack, Erte, Lea
Avizedek, Vicky Montesinos
and Shimon Oksteyn.
The exhibition will last
through May 19.

Lecture, Tour
Set By Sculptor

The work of Birmingham
sculptor Marshall Fredericks
will be the focus of a Com-
munity House lecture and
trip 8 a.m. April 25.
Fredericks will begin the
day by presenting a lecture at
The Community House. Cof-
fee and donuts will be served.
He will tell anecdotes about
the creation and history of
several of his pieces of art.
From The Community
House, the group will board a
deluxe motorcoach and travel
to the Arbury Fine Arts
Center and Gardens in
Saginaw. There, they will see
Fredericks' work and the
models of every piece he has
created.
The tour will then take the
group to Saginaw Valley
State University where they
will have lunch in the Univer-
sity Dining Room. The group
will return to The Communi-
ty House by 4 p.m.
