Seniors Plan
Vision Program

The Senior Adult Depart-
ment of the Jewish Com-
munity Center Maple-Drake
building will present a pro-
gram on coping with vision
loss at 1 p.m. April 25.
Three vision loss profes-
sionals, Dr. Susan Gormezano
of Low Vision Associates, P.C.;
Charlene Edge and Shig Toda
of the Michigan Department
of Labor Commission for the
Blind, Independent Living
Rehabilitation Program, will
discuss low vision services,
adaptive daily living skills
and rebuilding self-
confidence. Refreshments will
be served. There is no charge.
Transportation will be
available at no charge from
the JPM building. Volunteer
drivers and program
assistants are being sought.

tis Morris building will hold
its Erev Shabbat program at
12:30 p.m. April 20 in Jaffe
Hall. Cantor Max Shimansky
will lead the service.
"Love of Learning," an open
discussion group on topics
from Jewish history to cur-
rent events will meet 12:30
p.m., in Room 4 with Israel
Klaymer.
April 22 — Volunteer Lun-
cheon will honor those who
assist the Senior Adult
Department.
April 23 — Art class with
Harriet Gelfond, 9 a.m. to
noon in Room 11. The Fitness
for All exercise program in
the gym at 11 a.m. The Ben
Gurion Men's Club in Room
3, noon to 4 p.m. Rabbi Gor-
relick will lecture at 12:30
p.m. in Room 4. "Israel — Past
and Present" 1 p.m. in Room
12.
April 24 — "Gentle move-
ment," exercises and relaxa-
tion techniques, at 11 a.m. in
the Assembly Hall. The Sinai
Hospital Wellness lecture will
focus on "Exercising for A
Healthy Heart" at 1 p.m. in
Assembly Hall. Following the
lecture, at 1:45 p.m., Part 2 of
the movie classic Bohemian
Girl will be shown.

Seniors Hear

The Senior Adult Depart-
ment, Maple-Drake building
will hold two programs April
23.
"In Focus" will feature San-
die Landau discussing Driv-
ing Miss Daisy in the library
at noon. Bagels and coffee
will be served.
This program is co-
sponsored by the Women's
Health club, the Henry and
Delia Meyers Memorial
Library, and the Senior Adult
Department. There is no
charge.
Artist Barbara Mellen will
preview her class "Mind-
scape: Expressing Through
Art" at 1:30 p.m. in the
library. There is no charge.

Sets Lunch, Film

Young At Heart, senior
group at Congregation Beth
Achim, will meet 11:45 a.m.
April 26 at the synagogue.
Luncheon will be served, by
reservation only, followed by
the showing of Israel, Never A
Dull Moment.
This film, from the archives
of Israel Television,
highlights the events of the
nation since its establish-
ment in 1948.

Seniors Hold
Art Tour

The Senior Adult Depart-
ment of the Jewish Com-
munity Center will hold a
docent-led art tour April 24.
The tour will view collec-
tions of contemporary art in
Troy's Standard Bank
building, followed by lunch at
Michael's Restaurant (on
your own). The bus will leave
the Maple-Drake building at
9:15 a.m.
There is a charge which in-
cludes the tour and transpor-
