Jewish Family Service has
appointed Sandra Jaffa,
diplomate of clinical social
work and certified social
worker, as program manager
of its domestic violence
prevention program.
Jaffa will manage a pro-
gram established with funds
from the Skillman Founda-
tion. The Skillman Program
targets children and their
families who are at risk for
abuse and/or neglect.

Rose Sklar Hurst, National
President of the Jewish War
Veterans Ladies Auxiliary,
U.S.A., will visit the Depart-
ment of Michigan Ladies
Auxiliary May 1 and 2.
Hurst was elected National
President at the 62nd Annual
Convention in Charleston,
S.C., August 1989. Active in
various organizations and a
volunteer at a local hospital,
Hurst has been organizer and
fundraiser for the Jewish War
Veterans Auxiliary.
On May 1. Hurst will tour
the Holocaust Center in West
Bloomfield. Mayor Donald
Fracassi will welcome her to
the City of Southfield. A din-
ner at the Embassy Suites
will end the day. On May 2
there will be a presentation
by the Auxiliary to the North-
land Geriatrics Center, on
Hessel in Detroit.
Hurst will speak on the
Aims and Ideals of the Ladies
Auxiliary of the Jewish War
Veterans Auxiliary of the
